CSAOM hosted the 3rd annual DEMO DAY at the legislative office building in Hartford on Thursday, April 29, 2010.  We gave acupuncture demonstrations and provided information on acupuncture and Oriental medicine. 

CSAOM Demo Day at the Capitol -On May 27th, 2009 the CSAOM was at the Capitol offering mini treatments and educating legislators,  and the public about Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Once again this event was a big success and we are looking forward to doing it again in 2010.

Mayor Mike’s Hartford Homeless Connect - On December 4, 2008 the CSAOM offered free NADA style acupuncture as part of our continued public outreach efforts and to give back to our community by demonstrating acupuncture’s efficacy and affordability.

CSAOM General Meeting - Saturday, January 31, 2009 in Glastonbury, CT at the Wells Turner Library (starts @ 11:00am) - Open to all current and prospective members of the CSAOM.

2008 NBC 30 Health & Wellness Festival - On Oct. 25 and 26, 2008 the CSAOM was representing the acupuncture profession in CT at the CT Convention Center . We had demonstrations, "Tongue and Pulse readings", educational handouts and miscellaneous goodies to give away!

Our gratitude goes out to the Betsy Smith and theNCCAOM for the miscellaneous goodies which includes such items as tote bags, pens, magnet clips and informational material. The CSAOM would also like to thank Bill Mortimer andSeirin-America for generously supplying us with needles for the event.

CSAOM Demo Day at the Capitol - On April 8th, 2008 CSAOM members were at the Capitol treating and enlightening politicians, aides, interns and students about the scope of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Thanks go out to all of the members who donated their time and energy to make this a big success.

CSAOM at the Capitol - On February 11, 2008 the Board of Directors and general CSAOM members traveled again to Hartford to visit members of the Public Health Committee, including Senator Mary Ann Handley, Representative Peggy Sayers and Representative Elizabeth Ritter to discuss our chosen profession here in Connecticut.

First Aid CEU Class/CSAOM Fundraiser - Saturday, December 8, 2007 from 1:30-5:30pm in East Lyme, CT. The class will be a fund-raiser for CSAOM, and will be available for up to 30 participants. The fee for the class is $50.00 which includes the cost of the Red Cross First Aid manual. $35.00 of each CSAOM participant's fee will be donated to the CSAOM.

Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Day - The Connecticut Society of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CSAOM) was instrumental in working with Governor Jodi Rell to again recognize October 24 as "Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day" for 2007 in Connecticut.

CSAOM at the Capitol - On October 24, 2007 the Board of Directors, CSAOM members, our own Public Policy Advisor Joe Pandolfo and the NCCAOM's Deputy Director Betsy Smith travelled to Hartford to visit members of the Public Health Committee, including Senator Mary Ann Handley, Representative Peggy Sayers and Representative Elizabeth Ritter to introduce ourselves and discuss our chosen profession here in Connecticut. This outing was a great step forward for the practice of Acupuncture and Oriental medicine in Connecticut.

CSAOM at the Capitol - On October 24, 2007 the CSAOM will be travelling to Hartford to visit members of the Public Health Committee to introduce ourselves and discuss the future of AOM in Connecticut. See how you can be a part of this event by clicking here.
